Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lipe

In the western part of Thailand lie some very beautiful islands with white sandy beaches and clear blue seas.

My personal favourite place is Long Beach on Phi Phi Island. The main town itself is quite busy and congested, but only ten minutes away by a motor sampan boat is Long Beach where the people are less and the beaches are cleaner and more secluded. The hotels vary from the slightly costly, like US$150, to guest houses that charge only US$50 per day. Paradise Pearl Bungalows, to the extreme left as you land on the beach, is home to a lagoon-like bay, which in my opinion, is one of the best romantic spots to swim, sun-bathe and dine in the evening. In this same resort and the hotel next to it, are masseurs who work wonders on your body at night on little huts with dim oil lamps, which are right next to the sea.

The first three photos are of Long Beach on Phi Phi Island in the day, and the last video of me on a sampan long-tail boat is taken off the shores of Lipe Island around sunset. All four videos were shot in March of 2008.
